John P. “Jack” Carney, MBA, AAMS®, AIF® (Accredited Asset Management Specialist®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®) has over ten years experience in wealth management and financial planning.  Jack is 2009 FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager as published in Seattle Magazine*.  He earned Bachelor of Arts (Business Administration) and Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the University of Washington (1971 and 1978) with concentration of studies in finance, business economics and quantitative analysis.  Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he completed a 26 year career at the University of Washington, managing health care, bio-medical research and education programs.

Jack became an advisor out of his experience working with surgeons; that is, the desire to assist individuals/families by applying academic knowledge to real life circumstances in a relationship based on caring and trust.

He joined MWBoone and Associates, LLC to engage in financial planning and wealth management independent of the products and structure of corporate financial services companies.

Based on professional and life experience as well as academic schooling, Jack brings in-depth consideration of traditional defined benefit pensions, health and health care circumstances, real estate assets and long term income tax planning to development of financial plans and ongoing management of investment assets. Within the broad application of principles of portfolio management and asset allocation, Jack specializes in managing long term municipal bond and inflation protection bond portfolio allocations.

Jack grew up in Spokane, moving to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. He and his wife of 40 years live in Shoreline where his two daughters and son attended public schools. Present priorities in life include six grandchildren and taking care of their son’s boxer while he attends college at WSU.
